Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy's Open class program

Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy's Two Track Program consists of ballet and jazz classes for children 7-14+ years that do not require an audition to enroll.

2008 - 2009 SEMESTERS

Fall Semester: August 25, 2008 - January 17, 2009
Spring Semester: January 20, 2009 - May 30, 2009

Registration

2008-2009: Registration for new students will open on June 2, 2008 at 9am.  Registration forms can be obtained in-person at the Academy or by sending an email to hbacademy@houstonballet.org. 

Spring 2009 Semester: December 8th, 2008 at 10:00am

Tuition
Tuition may be paid in full at registration or in four monthly payments.  Family rates are available to families with more than one student enrolled in classes.  The student in the highest level will pay full tuition.  Each additional child will receive a 10% discount on tuition.  Please call for tuition rates: 713-535-3210. 

Payment Schedule
First Payment: At the point of registration
Second Payment: Thursday, October 2, 2008
Third Payment: Tuesday, December 2, 2008
Final Payment: Monday, Febuary 2, 2009

Refund Policy
Tuition is non-refundable except in the case of serious illness or injury as verified by a doctor's certificate.

Attendance
All students are expected to attend every class scheduled for their level.  If a child is unable to attend class, the Academy office does not need to be notified of the child's absence.  There will be an end of the year showing on May 11, 2009.  Extra rehearsal dates and times will be announced at a later date. 

Attire

Ballet

Girls:  Black, sleeveless, scooped neck, tank-styled leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.  Hair pulled back neatly in a bun.  No jewelry or skirts.

Boys:  White short-sleeved, form-fitting, crewneck leotard, black bike shorts and black ballet shoes. 

Jazz

Girls:  Black, sleeveless, scooped neck, tank-styled leotard, Jazz pants, and Jazz shoes.  Hair pulled back neatly in a bun or ponytail.
