Education Outreach Overview
Learning to Dance. Dancing to Learn.
For more than 50 years, Houston Ballet's Education Outreach programs have introduced area children to the beauty and grace of life through dance. Our programs and performances extend to students of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are committed to introducing those in under-served and at-risk populations to dance education and appreciation. Our programming aims to instill in students a sense of independence and confidence, while also emphasizing the importance of teamwork. We offer a variety of performances and dance classes, most of which are free of charge, both on school campuses and at Houston Ballet Center for Dance. We believe students should dream big -- our programs help reinforce the commitment and discipline it takes to achieve lofty goals.
