PART-TIME TELEMARKETERS

Part-time job openings available immediately selling subscriptions and fundraising. Sales experience and telemarketing experience a plus but not essential. Training provided.

Three shifts available:      
Afternoons - 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Evenings - 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Saturdays - 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

COMPANY PIANISTS

Position Title:
Academy Pianist

Basic Function:
Full-time accompanist for Academy (student) level classes.

Directly Reports To:
Music Director and Academy Music Coordinator

Indirectly Reports To:
Associate Director for matters related to academy only

Artistic Responsibilities:
Attend academy artistic staff meetings weekly or as needed.

Preferred Skills/Competency
Bachelor of Music Degree and two years experience playing for ballet class and rehearsals. Must be proficient in ballet terminology. The successful candidate will be asked to play class and rehearsals for the professional company as needed based on ability.

Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience playing for ballet class and rehearsals. Must demonstrate piano proficiency through a two-part audition process; (1) basic solo piano repertoire and (2) must play an Academy class. Knowledge of basic ballet terms.

Please arrive no later than 1/2 hour prior to class time.  We require a headshot and resume at the time of your audition.  Please staple your headshot to the back of your resume.  Any items - i.e. resume, headshot, dance shots, DVDs, etc. - handed over at the time of the audition will not be returned.  You do not have to register in advance for an audition.

The 2008-2009 season will consist of forty-four (44) work weeks beginning July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2008.  Repertoire will include both classical and contemporary works with eight (8) productions in Houston and some touring engagements.  At the time of the audition consideration will also be given for Houston Ballet II.
