Inspired by Alexander Pushkin's classic verse novel Eugene Onegin, choreographer John Cranko's staging of this epic love story is one of the greatest narrative ballets of the twentieth century.  Various artists involved with the production will discuss the rich history of this great work and the special challenges and rewards that it presents the dancers who perform the four leading roles.  Visiting artist Jane Bourne, who is setting the ballet on the company, will be a guest speaker, as well as principal dancer Amy Fote, who performed the leading role of Tatiana in 2005 with Houston Ballet.
