21st Annual tree lighting ceremony at wortham theater center
kick off the holiday season with houston ballet!
Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera, and The City of Houston unite to host the 21st Annual Wortham Theater Center Tree Lighting Ceremony, Wednesday, November 26, 2008 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Admission is free and open to the public.
Costumed characters from Houston Ballet's The Nutcracker will be on hand to greet the public for the occasion, which has become a holiday tradition for many. The Salvation Army Harbor Light Choir, singers from Houston Grand Opera's Girl's Chorus, and the instrumental group The Invincible Czars will perform at the event. Guests can enjoy cookies, punch and holiday snacks at the event.
The 21st Annual Wortham Theater Center Tree Lighting Ceremony has been generously underwritten by KUHF radio station, Freeman AV, and Aramark.
